Wonderful stay from booking to check out. Staff very attentive and kind. Stayed in the towers which was magical. Great breakfast too. Will definitely return, the estate had a magical feel. Enjoyed walk over to main building for breakfast, nice to stretch our legs and what a view.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights, the room was clean and had the usual facilities, tea, coffee etc. The bed was very comfortable and you just sank into the mattress, a bit too soft for my personal preferences but that's just me! Likewise for the pillows. The location is absolutely stunning we couldn't have wished for much better surroundings, The Horsley estate is steeped in history. The restaurant was a pleasant experience, friendly attentive staff. The food (Dinner & breakfast) was very well cooked with a wide varied choice my only moan was the food was not very hot, the food was laid out buffet style under heat lamps which didn't seem.to do the job? Would I return and stay again? Absolutely in a heartbeat, my partner and I loved the place and would stay again so we could explore more of the surrounding area. Thank you to all the staff for making our brief stay very enjoyable!! Rooms: Our room was comfortable, I wouldn't say luxurious but it was adequate for our needs.

Good points. Beautiful surroundings and gorgeous period features in some parts of the estate. Friendly staff. Downside tired looking room battered furniture very dusty.|Resteraunt whilst staff are pleasant they are a bit overwhelming …

I think for the price point I would expect better rooms. They’re very underwhelming, lacking the luxurious touch, battered / stained furniture, cracking bathroom flooring / tiles, the bedspread is from the 90’s and dirty, along with the throw cushion. The communal areas are much better. The water goes from warm, to boiling, to very cold in the shower every few minutes. No bottled / drinking water in rooms provided?! Rooms 200-700 are very far from most other amenities and such a stretch to reach - its maze like. The towers and grounds are lovely to work around.

Booked for a birthday of 6, was not told we would not be in the main house. Restaurant not open to anyone due to weddings. Rooms very small and in need of some tlc. Was supposed to be a superior room, not sure what was superior. Our room had the smallest shower cubicle I have ever seen could not even turn in it. Air con noisy kept us awake with the noise of water running through it. Would not recommend for a lovely weekend break, mainly used as a conference centre. Terrible place, unless you can be guaranteed to be in the main house. I am very disappointed in their reply to this, no apology, but just thanks for the review. Rooms: Very tired rooms, mould in bathroom, shower head needed replacing. The shower cubicle was too small and could hardly move in it.

Came here for a conference last weekend so spent all our time in the hotel. Main function rooms and restaurant/bar have a lovely atmosphere, decor around the hotel is great too. Breakfasts were incredible, my favourite part of the stay. Drinks at the bar were expensive though. Staff are friendly, helpful and very efficient! High praise to all that work there. The hotel has many areas dotted around the hotel where you're able to get a hot drink and different types of water for free which was a brilliant touch! Wide selection of teas available, fresh milk at every station and even a jar of biscuits to accompany your drink. Loved it. Although we didn't need to use them, there are also computers near a couple of these areas for guest use and an area of books for you to read. A lot of thought has been put into the communal areas! Location is great too and the views of the grounds is stunning! I'm sure a lovely place to get married! Rooms: Unfortunately the bedrooms let this hotel down. Stayed in a gorgeous original building - at least it looked it from the outside - none of the inside of the corridors or rooms reflected the outside. The bedrooms themselves are in dire need of an update. Carpets were stained, chair in the corner showed its age with bobbles appearing on the fabric and stains on that too, didn't even want to touch it let alone sit on it! Paint is flaking off the original windows and many scuffs adorn the walls, definitely in need of a makeover. And the bathrooms had some black mould forming in the corners and I dreaded to think what lay between the tiny tiles of the floors, a smooth surface in the bathrooms would make for easier cleaning. Bed and pillows were comfortable though so you're able to get a good night's sleep!

We had a conference at this hotel last weekend. The customer service was fantastic. Every staff you meet very friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely, it had everything you need including ironing board. The chef should be praised for the fantastic food. We had a ladies conference. The food was so delicious that many ladies returned for more food. The location is beautiful. The atmosphere at the hotel is calm and peaceful. I can see all staff work really hard to provide a wonderful service. Rooms: The room had tea and coffee provided. Ironing board. En-suit rooms Nearby activities: There are local jobs near by. There are pubs not far from the hotel Safety: It's safe at the hotel. We did not have any issues. Guest were respectful. The room had a card lock. Walkability: The hotel is not far from the train station Food & drinks: The food at the restaurant is fantastic. Very tasty. The breakfast is Wow!! Full English. The chef knows what he is doing!

A brilliant weekend stay. I was visiting for both work and a little getaway with my recently wedded husband. Incredibly friendly and attentive service from the moment we arrived. A beautiful room that really celebrated the original architecture of the place in a modern way, particularly loved the bathroom! Breakfast was provided with our stay - so much selection and everything tasted great. Again, really friendly service from staff. We made use of the pool and also the bar which had recently opened in the towers, would highly recommend. Situated in a beautiful village, great pub and small shop in walking distance with other local attractions nearby. Overall a perfect getaway, would definitely return if in the area.
