Website is awful

Absolutely horrendous experience dealing with these guys. Think twice and do your research…. especially with regards to refunds once you’re on site…. Having spent hours in The car travelling only to find you may have well checked into your dads shed! If it helps, I can also publish the complaint report that I wrote to Matthews which was totally ignored.

We've used Matthews many times for Mobile home holidays in France, ski holidays and going further a field to Florida and Mauritius. Our favourite spot in France has to be the Vendee where we've spent many holidays with our kids and other families. Happy kids make happy holidays, and the freedom of this type of holiday is perfect with sun, sea and sand on the doorstep, not forgetting the lovely French food, wine and cheeses. We always take bikes with us as there are quite literally miles of off road tracks to cycle safely along the coast. We've also booked long haul exotic holidays for special occasions and these too have not disappointed us and the personal knowledge of these destinations has been top notch. There were many places to choose to go, the personal knowledge of the destinations and hotels got us the perfect holiday destination.

Always a really memorable and positive experience from beginning to end with Matthews Holidays. I have had many holidays with them and they make safe, family friendly and affordable holiday possible. Matthews make the booking process easy and understandable The sites in France are fantastic for children and adults. My favourite site is Les Gennnet its kept lovely, has a lazy river and is walk-able to St.John de Monts beach.

I've had many wonderful holidays with Matthews Holidays over the years and would thoroughly recommend them. I have been stayed on campsites in Brittany, the Vendee and a couple of the sites a bit further south. My tip is to go for a site within walking distance of the beach and a town if possible so you dont have to use the car!

Jackie at Matthews travel has booked several holidays for us and we've always found her to be very efficient and very friendly whether it has been a long complex trip or just two weeks in the sun.
